Dara Manzi

Born and raised in the Town of Fallsburg, Dara Manzi is a third-generation resident.  Her family has a long history of public service with her grandfather, Sam Rosenshein, serving as town Supervisor for years, as well as with the Fire and Police departments.  Her mother, Alice Manzi, also served as town assessor.  In addition to this history of service, Dara’s family has long contributed to the community in many ways, building and operating the Rivoli theater for generations and running the famous Pop-Ins restaurant and Gerard’s Continental Kitchen.

As a local business owner, Dara has been committed to the healthy growth of her hometown.  She currently owns the Catskills greatest concierge transportation service, Upstate D-tours, which provides not only transportation around the region, but also drives tourism throughout the area.  Her focus on working with local businesses, to build up tourist options across the area, earned Dara the 2022 Emerging Business award from the Sullivan County Visitors Association.

Dara continues to be an active part of the community by working with Brett Budde and Josh Druckman of the Fallsburg Coalition for Sustainable Growth.  She worked with them to raise money for the Love Our Land Parade in Hurleyville.  She has an incredible ability to unify people and get them to work together for a common cause.  With her positive, enthusiastic energy, Dara is dedicated to bringing successful change to the community that will maintain the environment, agriculture, economy, and welfare of the people.
